2000 triton power problems.
hello, I've recently joined this forum because you all have been a proven source of great information and help. now, my question. I have a 2000 f150 with the triton 4.6l that I am trying to get drivable. my dad had many "mechanics" look at it to no avail. first problem I found after scanning for codes was a vacuum leak on the pvc line. then removed and cleaned throttle body as well as those poor, poor blocked ports on the inside.changed spark plugs, as well as 3 cops. the 2nd cylinder doesn't seem to be firing even though it has spark and the injector is tick ticking away. the way I tested was pulling the injector connection off while the engine was running and it made no noticeable difference. I have also cleaned the iac and maf sensor. any ideas? I'm borrowing moms car till I can get it right. I appreciate any responses and sorry for the long post, I wanted to be as descriptive as possible. thank you.

Well, if it's getting fuel, and spark, the next step would be to check compression.

Gotcha ,bro. However I did look closer this evening and found at least one more cop that needs to be replaced. You are exactly right and I thank you for your response. I am so close , I can taste it. Its gonna get better , and this is the place where cool heads prevail. Or , if you'll forgive me , cooler heads leak wisdom. Fresh hands , ya know?

triton power problems solved.
I wanted to update. after repairing the vacuum leak, changing plugs and ALL the coils, the truck runs great. The mechanics that my dad took it too simply didn't do anything but guess. it all started with the vacuum leak and after what I've learned on here, I think we all know that until it got fixed there was no point in testing/ replacing anything else. long story short, the vacuum leak makes the truck run lean, computer tries to compensate and then everything down stream throws trouble codes. thanks for helping/ reading!
