My 2000 f-150 has been messing up a lot lately and I need help! Service engine light came on and immediately the truck started having problems like the yellow sludge under the oil cap, when I have been driving for a while if I put the truck in reverse it will fall dead, it falls dead if I slow down to turn, in the middle of me trying to turn sometimes, when I turn it off it smells like something is burning but I check all my fluids regularly and keep them filled. When I checked the oil about a month after getting an oil change it was almost completely dry and that is when I noticed the sludge, I filled it and it still smells as of something is burning and every now and again it will be smoking. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
