I have a 2000 F150 xl 4x4 with a 4.2l about a month ago I had an issue where the pressure at the oil filter was high enough to blow out o-ring on the screw on oil filter and oil went all over floor. I was lucky enough to turn off engine and not do any damage from lack of oil. I recently checked to see if it was an issue with a second o ring left on from filter replaced, that was not the case. After reading somethings on the internet I'm thinking it could be the oil relief valve, however I don't know what to do to fix it, is it something I can clean and replace. Any help would be appreciated.
