Default 1999 F150 Ford rear shocks

I hasve a 1999 ford F150 4x4 that I need to change the rear shocks on and
can not figure out how to get to the top stud on hte shock with nay kind of wrench or socket. I have thought about removing the bed to change the shocks. Any one have a beteer idea are know of a special tool you need to have to change the rear shocks.

Also have looked at the monroe and ranchero shocks. Any one have any sugentions on a really good heavy shock. I tow a construction trailer the weight between 600 to 4500 pounds depending on the job I am working.

I would use a grinder wheel to cut them off. They are probably too rusty to take off with shock removal tool.

How would you get to the top ends with a grinder to cut them off.

If you have to, lift the bed on each side as you work on it.

I have always used a ratcheting wrench. If you can get the bed bolts to break free then lifting the bed to get a little clearance is not a bad idea. I would go with Bilstein or Monroe HD shocks. Rancheros have never proven themself to me.
