I have recently bought a 1997 F-150 XL 4.2L V6 4x2 with an automatic transmission from a private owner. It was formerly used as some sort of roadside assistance vehicle. It's older but it is certainly not a beater. It has 155k miles and has some odd noises that I am not very familiar with as that I am a new driver as well. In the front end, I have mild squeaking when turning either direction. When I am driving and I let off of the gas, a mild vibration is produced as I coast. Whenever I am in motion, the majority of the noise in the cab is a low whistle that changes pitch as I give it gas. Any insight into these noises as to whether they will produce any major problems in the future would be appreciated. Thanks!
