Have you thought of taking it to Auto Zone and having them plug it in and run the codes?
Just a thought:You mentioned smoke from the rear of the engine. There are tubes that run from the catalytic converter to the back of the heads and the smog pump. If one of those tubes are broken you would have issues and check engine codes, along with puffs of smoke/exhaust.

Well the truck isnt running and i dont want to tow it. I have the dash codes but just dont know how to read them hense the video i made. I found a crack in the manifold i think thats where the smoke comes from.
Anyone able to tell me what the dash codes say in my video above?

Not quite sure what you want us to see. All I see is your check engine light blinking. Thats not the code. The truck needs to have its ECM plugged into a diagnostic scanner to read the code.
You mentioned that you have a cracked manifold. Is that exhaust or intake? If its the intake then there is your problem.

Its the built in self test in the truck the number of blinks give you a code. The timed space in between is when the code is finish this is a way to trouble shoot if you dont have a reader. Or use a voltage meter.

Sorry
tried to follow flashes several times. Hard to follow. Looks like you may have at least 2 or 3 codes stored. Think you really need to find someone with a code reader for OBD1 systems. Misreading even one flash can make all the difference in the world, so unless someone out there is really good at it, I'd suggest the code reader. If the truck isn't running, looks like you're getting key on, engine off codes so a code reader should still help you.
Don't feel bad. At least you've got codes - that means something to work with. These things can run like triple "A" turkeys for a long time before they set any codes and with no codes, most shops won't give you the time of day. How do we ever thank the environmentalists, the engineers and the bean counters for this stuff ?
