2009 F150 will start and sound ok but then shuts off after a few seconds. It will start again and continue to stall. In some cases when turning the key to on, it continuously cranks.
Here's what we've checked so far:
Fuel Pump is working - turns on
Battery - new battery
Fuses and relays are all good


Looking for anything else I could check before having it towed to a dealer. My wife's dad is a mechanic and looked at it but couldn't figure it out.

A fault in the ignition switch? Or possibly a problem with the microchip key security system? Do you have a code scanner? Just a shot in the dark.
