Hi
My truck has a good battery and alternator . Still the light on the dash comes on. Is it the fusible link? If so where do I find it ? Replace it or bypass it?

Most likely the Alt... how do you know it's good ? Have you done any troubleshooting with a meter ?

Default Testing
I have tried 3 alternators with the same result. 30 seconds running and the dash light comes on. Only 11.8 on the battery posts with the truck running.

you need a motorcraft alt... trust me !! our trucks are very picky when it comes to this part.

Default Motorcraft parts
All 3have been ford alts. Seems the alt is not getting the energizer signal from the pcm or a fusible link has fried

what's the Voltage at the batt with truck off ? and what is it when its running ?

Battery is 13.2 truck off

Running 11.82

Is there one? Just for alt and where? Which of the three small wires at the alt energize it . I'll try energize it manually.
