I've researched the oil change intervals before on my 07 5.4l 3v, but my local ford dealership said every 3-5 to they recommend with motorcraft oil and filter, and another ford dealership says they recommend 3,000 because of the problems with 5.4's. I've been going about every 4k I always change it, Just because I had to have a complete new motor put in my truck a week after I bought it with only 85k (warranty covered it so lucky me) and it now has 100k or 3 year warranty. The posts I've read we're older so I just wanted to hear what everyone's been doing. Thanks

I change my oil every 3,000, every 4,000 is probably ok, I wouldn't go longer than every 5,000 mile intervals. Some people will pay an absolute fortune for a vehicle, then want to get stingy with the oil changes, one of the most important things you can do for it, and it doesn't cost that much to do. But, to each his own I guess.
