07 F150 5.4 running rough
Hi all.
I have a 07 F150 quad cab Fx4 with the 5ish foot box.. has the 5.4 triton.
Easter weekend it was hard starting. Put some injector cleaner in the tank and changed the fuel filer just for heck of it.... It seemed to actually help and it starts ok now..
Then a couple days later it has started to run rough... like it needs the spark plugs changed or the fuel pump is going.. Fuel pump was changed last fall and spark plugs have never been done in the 2 years I had it.
This is the kicker.... on a cold engine, it seems to run fine but once you go 1-2 miles and the engine is warmed up, then it starts running rough if you put the engine under load... if you baby the throttle, seems to be ok.... I am mechanically inclined but not familiar with this motor.....
The check engine light has not come on and haven't had it in to the shop yet as I really can't afford shop rates plus parts... Any ideas would be great
Thank you..
PS, I am north of the border... Truck just turned 200,000 km

I would put a fresh set of Motorcraft plugs in it for starters. The plugs in it now could be original.
