Last year my truck was skipping or missing around 1500 RPMs around 45ish MPH. I took the truck in to have it looked over and the mechanic said they could find any codes being thrown. I did some online research and had heard about people having the same issues and that the problem could possible be with the plugs. So I had them do the conversion and change out the plugs for me. This fixed the issue, but now it's happening again.....same mechanic, says same thing. He is a trusted mechanic of my fathers.....but irritates me they can't find the issue. It's not the transmission slipping, its the motor missing or skipping. Anyone out there had the same issues? Is there a way to check and see if an ignition coil has gone bad without having to replace all of them? These aren't cheap, so I don't want to throw parts at it. Any help would be appreciate.
