'06 f150 light issue. Wiring?
I bought a 2006 f150 4.6 L Triton in July and the headlight and high beam went out on the passenger side the other day. I swapped out the headlight bulb and it still doesn't work. I don't think it's a fuse because all of the lights work on the driver side, unless there's an in line fuse on the wires or something. I really have no idea. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to resolve it.
This looks like it should be connected to something...
Then this grey plug that the headlight wire goes to looks like something should be plugged into it...

The blue thing that your thumb is on is used to tap power from another wire.
Unfortunately it looks like the previous owner of this truck was no good at wiring. I would try to trace some of those wires and clean it up a little to start. Make sure no bare wires, broken wires, stuff like that.

Trust me, the tangled mess of wires gives me anxiety. Just haven't gotten around to tackling that yet. Was more concerned with replacing the taillights that the guy before me painted black...then this happened.

Gotta love it. Time to dive in. A test light or multimeter will help with finding out where/why you are not getting power.
