06 f150 fx4 5.4l jerking while driving, stalling in reverse..
Hello everyone, i am having a very annoying problem with my f150!, sometimes it drives just fine, but recently when i am driving it jerks or kicks like it's struggling for fuel, it also sometimes doesn't let me accelerate above 2000 rpms sometimes.. it still gains speed though. It also stalls when i am reversing sometimes, i have replaced all plugs and coils, fuel filter, i am now onto the fuel pump driver module as i took a quick look under my truck today and from what i could see it looked pretty bad.. i have also been told it could be my throttle position sensor as well? any ideas would be great also there is no CEL on and no codes.
Thanks in Advance!

Have you replaced the FPDM yet ??

Not yet, i am getting the part from my local part store today! do you think my symptoms could all be from the FPDM or do you think i should be looking somewhere else? ill also post a picture of the outside of the FPDM as i haven't taken it off yet so i don't know how bad the corrosion is on the side that is touching the frame.

How long has this been going on...prior to you replacing the plugs and COP's ? what brand parts were used ? did you replace the boot's and springs when you did the plug's ?

It's been on and off since i purchased the truck in May.. when i got the truck it had low transmission fluid i thought maybe thats what was causing the stalling in reverse.. but it wasn't and no all i replaced was the plugs and the coils. I also used motorcraft plugs and coils

so... It could of been doing this for a long time prior to your purchase. Could have a clogged cat but, that normally pops a DTC...get the FPDM replaced and go from there. also ...If it were my truck I would go back and replace the springs and boots that connect the plugs and COP's...apply a little bit of Dielectric grease to each end of the boots prior to re-installation for a nice water tight seal..
