hi i've been searching the internet for a while now and find conflicting answers, i am going to replace the leaking seal in my 06 f 150 4x4, the front axel seals, not the cv shaft, thats the axel that,s in the housing bolted to the differential, now a lot of what i find states that the axel will remove without removing the differential cover and removing the retainer clips from the inside, by using a slide hammer, mallet or what ever, i bought motor craft seals and clips, but really these clips don't look like they would alow such a removal, i would expect them to be rounded but they're not. part #N808765*S in the ford diagram #3219, they are called out as # HR1 any input would be appreciated--thanks in advance
