06 5.4 F-150 Won't Start
I have a 2006 V8 Super-Crew 5.4 and i have had the surging and sputtering issue going on for months now....everytime it starts to sputter i just accelerate through it. I was driving around the lake last week on my way to work and it started to sputter so i just continued driving...it went away, i pulled up to the stop sign- stopped and turned right. It is a small incline and the truck just stalled out. I cranked the engine a few times and with stomping on the gas it started back up but died immediately. I have changed all plugs and fuel filter within the last year...the part that mounts above the spare tire is corroded but has no holes in the back of it what so ever...i have checked fuses...i do hear the fuel pump when it engages with key turned to on....the truck will crank but refuses to turn over....it has plenty of fuel.
HELP!

Replace the FPDM anyway (the part above the spare tire). Test your fuel pressure. Did you change your coils when you did your plugs? What about boots and springs? Also change your fuel filter.

Would the FPDM cause it die like that with no damage on the external body of it?
I can hear the Fuel Pump engage which makes me believe the FPDM is doing its job...i did change all packs and boots...tonight im going to remove a pack and plug and ground it to the chassis of the truck to see if im getting any spark from them.

You could have some corrosion flakes on the inside of the housing shorting out the board. Or there could be an entry small enough for you to miss and water got in there.

It goes further than that. You need to monitor fuel pressure to see if you have a leak somewhere, i.e. one of your injectors.
