05 4wd 4.8 metallic scraping sound
Hi
I'm sort of kicking myself for my vehicle purchase this Monday. The brake light was flashing during my test drive but the dealer said he would fix it. I'm taking it in this coming week. The fluid isn't low and the brakes seem to function just fine, the truck just now has 100k miles. The real issue I'm concerned with is as I drove it home, I started hearing a metal on metal scrape/ rub sound from the rear that seemed to correspond with wheel revolutions starting at around 35 mph and onward to 60. There is a power train warranty but I'm concerned this issue won't be covered. I thought maybe the brake backing plate was touching the rotors but it didn't appear to be that close? Anyone have suggestions on what this might really be?

Make them fix it, or don't take the truck. The brake light flashing was a red flag to begin with.
