04 F150 XLT (new body) Limp Mode Constantly
Well I thought I'd give this forum a try seeing how no one has really found an answer to these troubles or at least a specific one. What the truck is doing is throwing this P2106 code. A key sign that it's going to do it during the current run cycle is that when I fire the truck up the ABS light is on. It's a sure thing i'm only going to make it a couple hundred yards before the truck goes into "Limp mode". Only after market parts on the truck are a AEM Brute force intake, and Edge Evolution Programmer. These have been on the pickup for the past 8 months with no troubles up until a couple weeks ago. I've searched, and searched only to find about 4 different culprits with no 1 sure fire cause though.
People have claimed the following solves the issue...
- Re-flash the ECU
- Replace the ABS control module
- Replace the TPS sensor and clean the throttle body
- Replace the throttle body all together
Here's some of the more useful information I've found not that any of it has gotten me anywhere, but any how.

Well thanks I've already replaced my TPS and Cleaned my throttle body without any luck. I've also read the vast majority of P2106 threads on this forum with "no specific answer"

Are you sure the TPS you put in is good? Wouldn't be the first time a sensor was bad out of the box......

Well heres the deal, not that anyone has really chimed in but I figured I'd still throw this information up here. I replaced the following with no luck in solving this mysterious P2106 code.
- TPS Sensor
- Throttle Body (also cleaned the original 1 spotless prior to purchase of new)
- Points test on my ABS module (passed)
- Air Filter
The only thing left I can think of is having the ECU re-flashed by a certified Ford shop. I'm going to check the ABS light with a ABS scanner to see what it says, but I'm stumped. I can't imagine that a wheel sensor would cause this sort of trouble, but if anyone has any useful advice let me know.
