02 F150 5.4 surging idle issue.
long story....
i had the intake manifold replaced due to a crack and leaking. when i got it back the truck idle would race to 2000 rpm at startup....slowly come down to around 1000 then slowly down to 750 and finally settle at 600ish. it will also surge some, rising like 200 rpm then back down..... it also surges anytime i turn on the climate controls... defrost, floor, panel....anything....every time i change it or turn it on. if left on it will surge by iteself.
i made a video today. it was 80 degrees the truck was not cold.
when its cold it will stay longer at 2000.
what i have done:
cleaned throttle body
replaced iac with motorcraft unit.
replaced tps
checked for vacuum leaks
had truck on snapon scanner - showed nothing.
no codes or lights on.
i have another thread for this....but it is about the manifold not the idle issue.

any help would be great...........this is driving me crazy!

Egr ?

well, I attempted to check egr..... the front long nut thing that holds it on started bending when I was trying to remove it...... guess I didn't have the proper tools to remove it and it was tough turning.... so I put it back together. I did shake it and didn't hear a rattle like it was broke but didn't get to blow thru it or anything.

here is another example of what it does.
Sitting in park with the heat selected and defrost selected but no fan. 60 degrees outside, truck warm from 8 min drive to work.
