Default 02 4.2 v6 boggy idle! Please help

Have 2002 4.6 v6 f150 4x4 with 174k miles the truck starts, accelerates, and drives good but when I come to an idle it feels rough like it's bogging out or somthing. It does it often but not everytime I come to idle. Sometimes it sounds like it's about to die out but it doesn't. Please need some opinions. Oh and the service engine light is on. Please help!

I bet you have a vac leak....

Check the tube going from the intake to the valve covers... If you find something broke, fix it.. And pull the battery cable off for 15 mins to reset the battery.... Once you get it back together take it for a 10 or so mile trip, And see if the light comes back on, If the light comes on stop buy a parts store and most will read the code for free.

I'll bet the code(s) will come up 0171, 0174. Lean condition.
Get a code reader. You can get a basic one for about $30 & they're easy to use.
