There's just so much you would need to get to make the conversion that after it's all said and done, you're better off saving your money, buying a used Raptor, and flogging the crap out of it.

actully the 6.2 is a fairly simple motor compared to the 5.0 and EB. its a single cam 2 valve motor. its essentially a tall deck version of the 4.6/5.4 2V engines. it uses the same trans bell housing pattern. I do not know if the motor mount is a similar setup or if the mount holes are in the same place. the biggest complication would be the ignition because its a dual spark plug engine (it has 16 plugs) but if you are good with wiring, even if the motor mounts are different, a good welder/fabricator can knock those out fairly easy.
the biggest expense is the engine itself because you would need the complete engine, wire harness and PCM
a quick search on ebay turned up a harley engine for $3900 and a few superduty 6.2's for under $3k.
I think it will use every bit of that $10 grand, but yes I think it can be done. but you are going to need someone who is good with wiring, a good welder/fabricator and a tuner who can make the engine and body communicate with each other.

I agree, for 10k it could be done. If you can do most of the work yourself.
But think of this. What else could you do to your truck for 10k. including building your engine above and beyond what a 6.2 could do.

you should do some research and see if 4.6/5.4 2V heads will fit on a 6.2 block.
that would be ideal. grab a used 6.2 short block, slap on some aftermarket 4.6 heads, but use your existing ignition/fuel system (with need upgrades) to make it run.
IF (and its a HUGE if) it's compatible, that would be A LOT cheaper and easier, than trying to get a complete Raptor engine in your older truck

There's nothing really that special about a raptor engine. You can fully build your engine (studded/forged) with whipple on top for less than 10g
