If you have ever removed a door panel on the newer F150's you probably had to fish out the U clip that falls down inside the door. I had this happen when replacing speakers. These clips are set on the door frame where gravity automatically sends it down where you can’t get at it easily. After doing this once you will want to find a way to fix the U clip to the door so it doesn’t fall again. Try using some metal tape – see photo or try any other handy tape.
