Thumbs up Need 12v accessory circuit under the hood for relay hook in.

I need to locate a 12v circuit under the hood so as I can install a relay for a compressor. The circuit only need to support 1 amp, but can only work when the ignition is active. Not on all the time. I don't want to risk damaging any wiring pulling stuff apart to find this. So a color coded wire declaration would be great.

You can get a fuse splitter go off the fuse box I always run wires in the cab less corrosion and you probably should relay power from a thicker constant pass kick panel has all wires you need

^ x2. you did not say what year. if I was going to add a fuse in my 11' I would use #12 in cab 15amp(interior lights). or if under the hood #56 15amp(heated mirrors) should you draw to much. Plenty of non used fuses also. Take a look at owners manual and see if they ran wires to them.
