Heres a suggestion for your next project..


Instead of using wood, try using hard foam. You can glue smaller pieces together to get a general form Add your holes for whatever you want to add, then us a rasp and light sanding to get your end shape.


Then use the fiberglass for stiffness.


This way you can add brackets right into the fiberglass also.


Basically the same way a lot of sports car fiberglass bodies are made.
