Default Loading and unloading lights.

Have a couple of boats I pull and the bass boat sometimes gets unloaded before daylight, especially during winter for stripers.
Very easy fix to light up the night with two 18w Cree LED lights.
Just mount them on the back bumper.
Bass boat already has rear view lights on the trailer but they don't help as much as bumper lights when it lights up on both sides of the the trailer your backing.
With wiring, ordering the cree lights off E bay I might have 50 dollars in it.

Hooked to its own switch. Love having the freedom to turn them on and off when I want while moving to.

Just a simple little fix to what can be a huge advantage when loading or unloading in the dark.

did you splice the 12v black wire at the rear, or did you run it all the way to the engine bay?

I ordered a set of flush mount led's off amazon and am really impressed with the quality. Wired them to come on with the reverse lights and also ran an auxiliary toggle switch in the cab to run them.

What did you use to cut into your rear bumper, and how?

I used an air powered cutting wheel to get the initial hole made, then used a small air grinder to make it just a tad bigger than the light housing and clean up the edges. It took about 1/2 hour for each side.

Do you have a wire diagram? I wanna wire up a pair of lights to turn on when shift into reverse and be able to turn them on by switch to use as an aux light at night with out shifting into reverse as well. (If that makes any sense)

No I don't have a diagram. When it was wired, a diode was installed to separate the power sources. That is exactly how I wired mine up too. I mounted the switch in the center console.
