Let's be careful out there!
Intent is the keyword.

If it's a locked gun case/gun vault in an area meant for storage already, you're not creating an additional "secret compartment", and there's no intent to hide anything, it's a secure lockable container.

These are the latter, secure lockable containers.

Even if it is legal, be careful. Some people don't like the CCH laws and will look for an excuse.

While he was facing false charges, the state police revoked his gun permit.

You of all people, living in perhaps the first state to come up with these draconian statutes, should know fully there would never be a shortage of characters in your dreadful “OSHP” to abuse, pester and misbehave with this nonsense. These people are masters at conjuring up phony “intent”.

Making up rs/pc on the fly? None better than these predators wearing those laughable “campaign” hats.

Ohio folks should cull the ranks of these people by about half. You have no idea how well you’ll get along without them.

Visit and join The National Motorists Association. Long ago they displaced the old AAA as the motorist’s best friend:

I have had plenty of interactions with OSHP in their mount-me hats, both professional and personal.

Yes, they're *******s about the rule of law, and yes once you're caught doing something ****ty, you're out of luck.

But painting them with that broad a stroke so as to basically out them as corrupt? Please stop derailing the thread, kthxbye.

Right....and for me,
I just figured having a foam-bedded deep dish picture frame would keep it from sliding around. It's not instant access, but you can reach down with your right hand to flip up the center seat, and drop your hand right on it.

I have a flow thru console in my lariat.

I welded up a bracket (& then got it powder coated), that I bolted inside.

I used a BLACKHAWK quick disconnect system that I bolted to my bracket, and my M&P45 is inside a SERPA holster that's attached to it.

Gents,

Not judging and please don"t take this the wrong way, but where do you guys live, that you need to have guns all over the inside of your trucks? Except for trips to the range, I never have my weapon in the truck.
I live and work in Memphis, TN... Its an urban war zone here and a mistake to walk out your front door without a weapon. I carry a Glock 19, a Glock 30S, a S&W bodyguard .380, a fixed blade Boker and 2 folding cold steel knives everyday. I'm 24 years old, was jumped when I was 18 and beat within inches of my life and have stopped 2 armed robberies/muggings since being 21 and able to carry. I've had a total of 3 firearms pointed at my person in traffic in 2016 but decided to let the police take care of those.

I don't carry for interpersonal BS like road rage or because my girlfriend screwed a guy I know, I primarily carry to stop an active shooter situation or to protect the sheeple that cannot defend themselves against the absurdly evil lurking in these city streets.

Love the alien gear mount. I have a '13 XLT that has about a 3 inch deep center console under the bench seat. No way I can fit my VP-9 mounted securely in there. Currently it's in the glovebox, way out of reach. The only option I can see of is the under-steering wheel quick release mount, which, as you know, is not a legal 'concealed' option.

Being new to the F150 crowd, I'd like to know about options to change the center console out to a deeper option that many of you posted in this thread.

Any ideas?

Default Tuffy

I'm getting ready to pull the Tuffy center console out of my K5 and throw it in my truck. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
