Default Anybody make a custom bull bar?

Just wondering how hard it would be to make a nice bull bar? Thinking of something like a spyder bull bar, but since I have a 2001, they don't make one for these years, so I would like to make one. I would like to use square tube, and want to mount to where the recovery hooks are now, and move those out to the bull bar. Anybody have any pics of what they have done, doesn't have to be similar, just gathering ideas.

Im not sure what this "Spyder Bull Bar" looks like, but as long as you have the tubing, a welder, some spare time, and a little knowledge I'm sure you'll have an excellent looking bar in no time! How many/much of an angle are you going to have on said bar?

The worst part of fabricating something like that is going to be getting the angles just right and held while welding them. Unless you have access to a chops with a metal cutting blade?

Doing things with square tube is much easier then doing it with round pipe. If I can do anything to lend a hand, by all means let me know!

I got a horizontal band saw, or a vertical band saw I can use at work, and bring home the cut pieces. I will probably wait until I finish everything else I am working on, and do this after it is on the road.
