Default 5.5 bed, 11' Paddleboards? No problem!

Needed a way to haul a pair od SUP boards and my topper doesnt have roof racks, (nor did I want to carry a ladder) so I drew and made this simple little rack. Works pretty slick, Padded the rungs since I took the pics.

Great job!
The problem where i live is the cops would bust you as no load can be more than 1 meter which is 3 feet behind the tail/brake lights.

You didn't finish your last sentence so I will For you.

.... Without a high visibility red marker. Grab some red caution tape and tie off to the back of the rack.

Your are partially correct if you live in BC. Any load over 1.2m (roughly 3ft) requires a red flag or cloth visible to the rear. At night a red light visible 150m to the rear is required (bicycle light would suffice). A single vehicle cannot be beyond 12.5m without a special permit.

Motor Vehicle Act Regs 4.20(2) covers all this.

Really nice design on the paddle board unit !
