2015 magnaflow exhaust question
So I had a local guy fab this up for me today. I love the look! I wanted a quiet exhaust with a little bit of grunt. Which this system is but I would kind of like it just a touch louder. Would cutting the resignator off help at all with making it a touch louder? Any input is appreciated! Thanks!

This is correct. When you remove resonators/mufflers, it will get louder, but also increase the chances of droning. The best route is to replace the factory resonator with one of our mufflers. If you were looking for a little more sound, you could choose to use one with a slightly smaller size than your stock unit! If you have any questions about mufflers or sizing, feel free to call or PM us!

I have a question for you at Magnaflow. I just purchased a catback from you # 19080 for a 2015 5.0 F 150. Question is , it is from the resonator back not cat back. I want it loader like the duel exhaust in front of the rear wheels system. # 19054 Which deletes the resonator. So do I delete the resonator or not. ? I don't want the drone at highway speed though.

Deleting your stock resonator would raise the volume of your exhaust, but may introduce a tiny bit of drone. Our 19054 system doesn't drone, and luckily the V8 F150s do better than other platforms at handling resonator deletes, but we always inform people of the possible risk before doing those type of modifications. The small compromise may be worth it for you to get the volume desired.

Great! How does it sound?
We could spend a while explaining this topic and get really technical, but for the sake of simplicity, drone is a resonating effect caused by exhaust pulses at a certain frequency through the cabin of a car, which causes a boomy, blowing-over-the-top-of-a-coke-bottle effect, which most people find displeasing to listen to.
