Depending on your personal sound preferences and budget, Flowmaster offers a number of different options for the '05 F-150 5.4L V8. If you would like assistance selecting the Flowmaster muffler or exhaust system that will produce the specific sound that you are trying to achieve, give us a call at 707-544-4761.

The Flowmaster Catback systems are excellent. I have one. It's a very nice throaty sound and pretty quiet at idle. The sound when you really get into the gas is perfect. I love my Flowmaster. Here's a pic of it on my truck from the back. You can see the chrome tips. They're very dirty though right now. If you want more pics let me know. Or if you want any more info. I installed it myself with the help of a 5 ton car lift that my dad has.

Any catback will produce a clean tame sound for these trucks. It's when you get into the small case mufflers, and small round body ones where the noise levels get high.

Borla and Magnaflow are my preferred whole kit cat-backs. I myself dislike Flowmaster's sound on a non-push rod engine, and I also prefer louder exhausts and shop fabbed systems.

What style of exhaust do you prefer? We offer a few different systems for the 5.4 which will all have a conservative volume for daily driving.

I have a 09 with the 5.4 and I just installed a Flowmaster super 40 delta muffler. I love the way it rumbles but isn't annoying loud with the backfires. It only gets loud in the cab between 1600 and 2000 Rpms. No drone on the highway when cruising.

I have a 98 f150 5.4 liter. flowmaster cat back it's the single in dual out muffler and it's pretty quiet unless I'm really getting into it you can get a true dual system make sure you get like a 80 series if you want it quiet the 60 series 40 series and the lower the series the louder the sound
