Higher spring rates, better flowing heads, redesigned Pistons... Forced induction?

Lol 5.0 is an afterthought to Ford as far as F150 goes. No way do they improve it enough that it would steal thunder from their turbo V6 wonder child.

I'm kind of thinking the same thing...if the HO EB in the Navigator is making 380hp & 460lb-ft then I doubt the EB in the 2015 F150 will be much higher so I doubt the 5.0 will get much of a bump if any in the F150. I get the whole EB movement but at the same time it's kind of a damn shame because I fear it'll go too far...

I completely agree with you guys. And the 3.5 Eco won't be advertised with premium fuel like the Lincoln so I think it will also be the same as 2014.

Heck I forgot about them rating it on premium. Just the fact of the truck losing up to 700lbs should improve the seat of the pants feel. A truck equipped with the 2.7 EB will have as good or better power-to-weight ratio as a 2014 with the 5.0.

If that were the case, the tuning community would be able to unleash all the power you think is being held back. So far, it hasn't happened to either Ford was really really good at hiding it or it just isnt there.

If a guy wants a powerful, efficient V8 with shorter rear end gears, he's gonna have to look elsewhere.

Well the 5.0 did get a boost, up to 385HP & 387TQ.
