Why shouldn't I get a 2" Auto Spring Level Kit?

Default Why shouldn't I get a 2" Auto Spring Level Kit?

I've got a set of almost new 275/60R20 BFG KO2s sitting in the garage from the truck I traded in for my F-150. While I may go with a set of coil-overs and new rear shocks or higher lift somewhere down the road, is there any reason not to go with the 2" Auto Spring level kit to get the nose up and run the 33" tires I already have for now?

Budget is a good reason...many put them on and are happy...many more pull them off and go with coilovers for a better ride...factory shocks suck

A better question is why not?

1. You already have larger tires to go on the truck.
2. It is an affordable upgrade, or you can spend alot more on coilovers or new shocks later.
3. It looks damn good.

I think you've already made up your mind, Im just trying to help you out.

PS: Post some pictures after you get it installed.

The only negative to the strut spacer type leveling kits is the added stress to your ball jpints. Thats about it. Otherwise they are harmless and won't have any effect on your ride quality since they are not changing the spring rate.

I have the 1.5" AutoSpring kit on my truck running 33" KO2's. I don't get any rubbing and the ride quality is great. You may want to keep the level under 2" to reduce stress on your front end.

I've had a 2" AS level on for the last 13k miles with no issues. I got an alignment done right after and the shop said it was out of alignment. Did it purely for looks until stock tires wear out and I upgrade rims at the same time. No drive issues, weird sounds, etc.

I've run level kits on several trucks over the years, as well as replacement upper A-arms along with coil-overs on some as well. The main reason for using the Auto Spring level kit at this point is budget. They seem to have great reviews from those who have used them.

I know that the 33" tires I have may fit without a level kit but I'd much prefer to install one from an aesthetic standpoint as well as giving me some more space for the spring to compress.

In the 2" level kit category, is there anyone that should be looked at over Auto Spring? I entertained their 1.5" kit as well but feel the 2" should still keep me in the safe zone.
