Question Whats the point of the STX Package?

Well it's how you look at it.
It is a sport package on an xl optioned truck. It's still not an xlt though.
By the same token your truck cheapens the lariat sport package truck? I don't really think so but it's the same idea right?

No because the stx is not a line like lariat, king ranch etc.

I am in the market for an F150 right now. I was set on an XLT until I saw the STX package. That combined with a couple of options like reverse sensors, backup camera etc and it has everything I want. I never use power seats except for first time and never heated.

You still miss out on a few things like bed lighting, remote start, etc but it seems for 3-5k less you can almost all the same stuff.

Just realized with XL you get a column mounted shifter not in center console. That's a bummer.

Oh hey haha what's up?

I was all excited about the stx package but I think not having the column shifter would really bother me.

Depends on your personal preference. I use that shifter maybe 2-3 times each time I drive. I use the extra tray in the console (where the center console shifter would go) all the time on every trip. The space gained by putting the shifter on the column is more valuable to many depending on what you do with it.
