King Ranch, 5.0, 4x4, 6.5 box, SCrew.
All options except rear seat entertainment.
Color not that important as long as it isn't black, white, grey, silver or that inevitable other grey/silver.

2014 Reg Cab Short Box XLs are available locally, but most commonly at rural Ford dealers who cater to farm, ranch & vineyard operators. Nobody within my circle of family or acquaintances has the need for a purely utilitarian truck, but most of us are urban-suburban dwellers. Ford has been studying the issue for several years and ponders publicly about making such trucks available only in the 3/4-1 ton series.

i'm ready to send my supercab in to trade and go with a regular cab short box, 5.0 with 3.73 gears XLT.. but you cant get the sport package in this config. need to see the Bronze Fire
they offer the XL in sport but I will loose a ton of options... the only thing in my back seat with my supercab was my coat...

They are no longer popular. I really don't know what people do with a 5' bed truck. Have a friend that is the sales manager of a Chrysler dealership. They will not put a regular cab long box on the lot, nor will the take them on trade. He does keep a list of people (like myself) that like that style and helps people who are trying to trade them to connect up with buyers. He will special order of course, and I suspect most that are sold are fleet sales.
That said here is what I plan to order, unless I change my mind on a F150 and decide to go with a Tundra. I have two specific purposes for my truck and won't use it as a commuting vehicle. It is to pull a 24' fifth wheel trailer, and go to the lumber yard, or haul gravel, dirt, move my kids, etc... I currently have a Supercab long box, but can't justify the Supercab any longer as my kids have grown up and I have retired. Also I don't think the new ones with the long box will fit in my garage.
Regular Cab Long Box XLT
3.5 EcoBoost
4x2 - I had a 4x4 in the past and found it not that useful, high maintenance, less load capacity, and poorer mileage
3.31 Electronic lock differential
300A package but may have to go for the 301A to get the larger gas tank
Trailer Tow Pkg
Trailer Tow Mirrors
Trailer Brake Controller (if reasonable in 2015, otherwise aftermarket)
Will have to special order of course, as these don't exist on the lot.
