What size speaker did you go with?

Was thinking about putting this speaker in the door and adding Rockford punch tweeters to the pillars.

What size is in the doors now? My 2011 had a 6x8 or something odd. I went with Infinty Kappa's with separate titanium tweeters and left out the crossovers, it sounded day and night better. I have the hd radio now and it seems to be better than my old one straight out of the box. No sub though..

They just make a bracket for the 6.5 to fit. I'm all about sound quality so I go with components over coaxials and I do a really high end set to replace the fronts and I leave the back speakers stock. For bass I'll do an aftermarket sub and not even 6x9s will give me what i want bass wise. That being said a 6x9 will give you more then a 6.5 usually. Look into hertz audio or audison audio

You'll have to make up your own mind between 6.5s and 6x9. There are guys who will argue that both are best. I finally went 6.5 components in front and 6x9s in back. If you order speakers from Crutchfield, they'll include brackets to mount 6.5s and adpters for the speaker wires. You can find better prices for speakers, but when you add in the extra's and the support, they're pretty competative.
