I have the same thing, it's like the truck is going to turn off but doesn't. I never really thought much of it but I did notice it.

I disable my start/stop function everytime I drive my truck, so there's no way the computer should be "thinking" it needs to cut off for any reason. However many parameters it needs to see to work.....the main one should be the deactivation button I press to cut it off !!!! On a side note, my start/stop function works even without my seatbelt on, when the truck is in park idling & any other time it's NOT supposed to according to my owners manual. I took it to the dealership & they said "that's weird, not supposed to do that". Well NO **** !!! They have no answer as to why mine works when it's clearly not supposed to be able to, except when I actually press the deactivation button.

That's kind of what it feels like to me....

I will check and see if mine does it with seat belt off.

Mine does the same thing. It feels like the stop/start is going to engage or a misfire in the engine but the tach doesn't dip at all. Weird....

I was supposed to take mine in tomorrow but it hasn't happened in the last 2 days. I called my service advisor and she said that if it's not doing it and the check engine light isn't on, not to bother coming in.

Guess I have to wait. Maybe one of you guys will get an answer in the meantime.

A forum search led me here so I won't start a new thread.

I live in Austin TX, aka "the face of the sun". Summer temps over 100* very often, so who knows how hot it is in the truck when it's parked. 150*+ I'm sure. Deadly.

I take my dog with me a lot. Also a lot, I leave him in the truck for extended periods of time. Never a problem, and it stays a nice cool 70* in there. I have a 2015.5 Denali now and that is not a problem.

Is there a way to ascertain that the start/stop technology will not turn my new 2.7 EB off when I leave it parked?

Per the manual (page 164), you must be in Drive with your foot on the brake (among other requirements) for the auto stop to engage.

If you wanted to do belt and suspenders, you could tap the disable switch on the dash, too, when you leave the truck.

Mine does that as well. It went into the dealer this morning. Not for that specifically, but it has developed a stumble from idle to about 2,000 rpm from a stop. not all the time, but it does scare me.

sounds like a spike in load when the AC compressor engages.
