I got high the first tank then it dropped to like 17. It's steadily increased to above 19 now. Just depends on the driving conditions I reckon.

Yikes. How many miles on your rig? I would have bought the 5.0 if it wasn't for the MPG claims on the ecoboost.

Curious to see as more respond to this thread if the mpg claims are actually true.

With over 4000 miles I would guess its broke in?


I think you got to really baby one ALL the time to get the window sticker

So far in just over 1500 miles, I'm averaging 15.7 mpg.

Mostly highway, with a bit of around town.

I have a somewhat heavy foot, especially after finding the Sport mode button on the side of the shifter. Wow what a difference that makes!

I had 5004.7 miles at today's fill up. I couldn't add the first fill up from the dealer in the website cause I don't have the gallons and price it's asking for.

Which body style does the advertised mpg's apply to? Big difference between a regular cab and a screw loaded platinum I would think. I would guess it would apply to the heaviest truck to avoid a lot of complaints.
