Wow mine definitely does NOT look like that. I think the dealer will probably make it right. **** happens, at least it can be corrected.

I'm almost certain if a human re-does it at the dealership there will also be waves, but maybe smaller in amplitude. But, I do agree if my truck had the waive sealer I would not be happy about it. My truck is Dearborn made and it's roof sealant is perfect. It is not a line workers issue, but a Quality/Skilled Trades issue.
Very cool insights. Thanks!

That's seam sealer. It's normal.

It's the roof, who cares? I don't make a habit of staring at the roof of my truck. I can't even see it unless I stand in the bed to wash it.

Umm, I'll have to double check tomorrow, but I'm pretty certain my '16 XLT has the black plastic/rubber trim that runs the full length of the roof. I seen the other post about this a while back and I'm pretty sure I ran out to check my roof. I'll post back in a day or so to confirm. I could be wrong lol :P

Lol. What I find really strange is there's a screw hole in the black piece we all have. It looks very unfinished.

The rear passenger area of mine looks horrible. I noticed it 8 months after buying but it looks like a small mountain range. From what I've read there's a risk in having the dealer fix it? That it will never be correct looking and can weaken the seal? I've thought about asking my dealer

Mine isn't perfectly smooth but it's not terrible either (I just looked due to this thread). Not what I'd expect from a vehicle this expensive, but then again, I also didn't think my leather seats would have a huge *** print either.
