If you're still under warranty you may try showing that to your local dealer. At the very least they may take pictures of the cracking and submit photos to Ford for prior approval to refinish the area.

Mine looks the same as this. I had a good look at it when I was waxing it last weekend after being inspired by from Toddman's earlier thread.

Have the same similar types of morons on the Jeep side.

Ignore the fact that new, base level the Wrangler starts at about $24k then ends up mid-high 30s by the time you want anything besides 4 tires and an engine, some of the loyalists think "well it's a Jeep" and that should trump the fact that the suspension squeaks, hinges rust, or that the top leaks water all over the floor (early JK complaints).

IMO the name is NEVER worth more than some type of quality. Not when you have many competitors trying to get your business. Make them fight for it.

What happened to the black rain channel? My 07 had them, the 09-14's had them, but the 15+'s dont? It looked unfinished to me when I was checking mine over at the dealer, especially with the screw hole in the black plastic up there. My channels don't look anything like the first picture though.

I have a feeling Ford's lead on the competition is about to change. There have been way too many quality control issues and the reputation is starting to spread. The publicizing of the F-150's downgrade in CR will end up hurting sales to some degree. Then add in the recall for brakes when it's officially announced, followed by the growing awareness of how tough aluminum really is (or isn't)...I think the brand is about to lose it's top spot.

This isn't even close to being considered a somewhat straight line. Half of these trucks are coming out with the weather stripping looking like it was put together by someone with Parkinson's.
