If you haven't yet, go to Ford's website, nose around and download the F150 Brochure. It has all the information you could ever want.

Only one HD payload truck has been sighted so far: http://www.hannafords.ca/used/Ford/2...54dc731373.htm. It must have been a test build. You can see the wheels on it.
Where did you get that info about the 17" wheels?
I understand the 17" wheels are the steel wheels on the XL and would find it really odd if they had a totally different wheel hub with 7 lugs.

The 18" silver HD Payload wheels look the same as the ones on the XLT/Lariat sport appearance package wheels without the painted pockets. They also have the same weight rating.
which in the source book adds up to less than the 4800# rear GAWR and so doesn't make any sense at all. Really, somebody at Ford should clear this up.

In the truck at the link above, you can see the door sticker saying 4800# rear GAWR and you can see the 6 lug 18" Alloy HD wheels. So for that sticker to be correct, those wheels and tires HAVE TO BE (by law I believe) at least 2400# rated, not the 2101# as in the Source book.

Think the Source book is wrong.

Per the brochure I referenced above:

17" Silver Heavy-Duty Steel
XL – Included: Heavy-Duty
Payload Package

18" Silver Heavy-Duty Aluminum
XL – Optional: requires Heavy-Duty
Payload Package and 101A
XLT – Included: Heavy-Duty Payload Package
LARIAT – Included: Heavy-Duty
Payload Package

Nothing about 7 lug.

HD payload is no longer 7 lug, 17" or 18" wheels don't matter. They are being built but in very small quantities. I had a crew cab 6.5 box 2wd XLT (orderd in January) come in two weeks ago for a utility company. Sorry, no pics.

I guess we will see when they get built. To the OP, Unless it is an base XL with the HD payload package, (probably fleet trucks) it will be the 6-lug HD payload wheels shown on the Canadian truck so you can see what they look like on a built truck.

Matt,

Can you tell us what the wheel rating is for these HD wheels?
I claim they gotta be 2400# as the rear GAWR is 4800#.

But the Ford Source book online says 2101#
Can you find out from Ford?

Not sure what the wheel ratings are but I thought the new RGAWR was 4500 or less on the 2015 HD Payload Package? Was pretty sure it's not 4800 anymore. Anyone read for sure?

It's 4800# in the Source book and on that Hanna Ford's truck sticker.

Interesting that the wheels say 2100 each. Odd. Thanks.

2015 HD Payload Package wheels are now 6 lug according to the specs found here:

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...tes_010815.pdf

Note max for any wheel is 2101 lbs, as Brulaz mentioned.
