Default What do y'all think about this as a 2016?

It'll be new truck time about my 35th birthday, January 2016. I'm thinking about getting the following truck.

F-150 SuperCab Lariat 4x4 2.7L EcoBoost - Guard/Black
501A Package
2.7L EB Payload Package
FX4 Package
Spray-In Bedliner
Optional Fuel Tank
Tailgate Step
Trailer Brake Controller
Navigation
Sony Audio
Heated/Cooled Split-Bench

$49,460

I hate the standard wheels and want a set of 22"s, so I'm thinking about adding a leveling kit and a set of 22"x11" (0 Offset) American Force or comparable wheel with 33"x12.50" Toyo Open Country MTs.

What do you all think about this setup and what suggestions do you have on forged alloy wheels?

Forget the sony. Sound is not the best and cost more to upgrade than a normal system..I just went thru a sound makeover

I figured it's worth the $525 for a little better sound and the HD radio. I'd probably just add a JL 12TW3 sub under the rear seat. I spent $3K on the system in my Suburban and I don't want to do that again.

I would suggest holding off on the 2.7 engine in your build till more info is known. Personally I will be going with the 3.5. Its a true and tested engine now and with the few tweaks and lighter truck theres only gains to be had.

With all my trucks I got the sony sound system because the speakers are decent and added subs to the car for added bass. Getting the default stereo and then upgrading the speakers and the time and labor needed. It might be cheaper to go with the upgraded stereo since there will be less that needs to be changed out.

I really want the 2.7L for the economy, but by the time I put 22"s and 33"s on it I'll probably get worse than a stock 3.5L. By the time I add the cost of quality wheels and tires I could also probably get a 502A package truck to get more tech. Maybe I should change my build to the following until packaging is known for the 2016.

F-150 SuperCab Lariat 4x4 3.5L EcoBoost - Guard/Black
502A Package
FX4 Package
Trailer Tow Package
Technology Package
Spray-In Bedliner
Optional Fuel Tank
Tailgate Step
20" PVD Wheels
Adaptive Cruise Control
Active Park Assist
Trailer Brake Controller

$55,375

$5,915 difference in 2015 MSRP. I figure wheels and tires would be $4,500, so for $1,415 more I get a much nicer, albeit all-stock, truck.

That's almost perfect. I wouldn't worry about the tailgate step. I have the step now and while it is okay, it has caused two ER visits. (and you are turning 35 not 45)

Wow, I thought I was bad pining for a truck that is two months away. I can't imagine already configuring a truck for delivery in 15 months.

The struggle is real, I want one pretty bad too. Gotta get a GTO sold then my current F150. Not in any hurry though, Ill be watching the early adopters testing this thing before I throw my hat in the ring. Might end up with a 2016 as well.

King Ranch Supercrew 5.0 with FX4 checked is all I need.
