Went to pick up my truck and left empty handed!
Just got home from the dealer. I didn't complete the transaction because of foreign matter imbedded in the paint. Just one spot located on the top of the rear passenger door where it meets the front passenger door. The bumps are raised and you can feel them. It appears that someone scratch one and exposed the primer underneath.
The dealer said it can be fixed. The body shop was closed so they will let me know next week. If it requires touchup paint or repainting I am walking away and will reorder.
What do you think?

You will get all kinds of opinions on this. You paid good money for a brand new truck. I bet every single "brand new" vehicle out there has a paint flaw. Either have them discount it and fix it, or order a new truck. Aftermarket/body shop paint is good, but not as good as a factory job. Beautiful truck by the way.

Not a body shop expert by any means but looks like a quick sand then paint touch up or whatever. Shouldn't take more an a couple hours.
I would have taken the truck, enjoyed it for the weekend, then bring it back when it's open next week. As long as the dealer is willing to fix it for free, I'd take the truck. Not their fault after-all. I wouldn't even push for them to take some money off as long as it's done for free and done well.

I'm not overly picky about minor blemishes but this type of imperfection becomes a rust concern, especially where I live, so I would've done the same. I don't trust cheap aftermarket paint jobs as they fade and peel in very little time. On a brand new truck I want OEM paint baked on as it should be.

i can say no you havent as body shops have bake cycles on their spray booths and if the painting is done right it will NEVER fade or peel

That's a beautiful truck. I just don't understand how Ford QC doesn't catch these things during the manufacturing process. Things like the rear armrest not folding flush, misaligned doors, bumpers and paint flaws.
