Default USCSIG51 2015 F150 4WD Platinum Ecoboost - Ingot Silver

Picked up my 2015 F150 4WD Platinum Ecoboost in Ingot Silver, yesterday

First truck and I am pleasantly surprised with this vehicle thus far! I was inspired ever since Ford released the Atlas concept photos and thought, "that is a good looking truck...HMMM"!

I've been trying to do a lot of reading and research trying to get up to speed on the full capabilities of this vehicle and will update accordingly. I have also had "truck" envy ready through DUBSED's build

Modifications thus far in order:

1). Removed "FX4" stickers at dealer prior to driving off

2). Replaced the factory fog light bulbs with a set of Diode Dynamics Fog Light LED's 5000K - XML2 (1420 lumens) NO COMPARISON. Ford should be ashamed as the headlights look great. Very fast, easy only 5-10 minutes of time. Color looks great!!!

3). Removed front air dam. 5 minutes of time

More to come...

Removing the air dam is cosmetic only and removes some unnecessary plastic which does not look very appealing, but that is personal.

According to Ford's website the air dam was engineered to provide better air flow around the tires in order to help with fuel efficiency. However, since this is not a Formula 1 Race Car, I don't believe the aerodynamics will be noticeable with regards to everyday driving, but I'm sure Ford put it on there for a reason.

***Note, on the 2015 there are eight (8) screws which easily are removed and a couple plastic clips holding it in place.

WRT the air dam, I noticed an increase in NVH after removing it. Also, this may just be me imagining things, but the truck seems to need more steering correction at speed on the highway with it off. My highway mileage dropped about 1mpg but the city remained the same. With my mix of driving I figure its less than .5mpg difference. I will probably leave it off, but it definitely has an effect.

Good looking truck. Sub'ed for updates.
