Default USA vs Canada

This isn't exactly a 15 subject but all this talk of people spending $50k+ on a truck got me thinking about the dollar, so for a nicely equipped xlt folks up north are paying around 45-47k before fees and tax, this ends up being significantly less in American dollars but it doesn't seem like you guys are getting that break, what do you guys think? Are we really paying that much less in Canada? Also if that is the case why is every single other item gone through the the roof? Do I smell a conspiracy, possible government subsidy for f150 owners lol, let me know what you think

I paid about 43 (CAD) before tax, for a really nice xlt, I still think it's too much knowing they pump out 1200 trucks a day from the plant. I'd bet they cost ford about 6 grand out the door each.

Looks like you have to go north of the border to buy, your next F150.

Don't forget about taxes. I'm sure the guys in the US are paying a lot less than $73,000 for a fully loaded platinum after tax (and that is with employee pricing).

Default NAFTA Free Trade Agreement !

Oh yeah the good old N.A.F.T.A. Free trade agreement keep coming back to haunt the good old USA. The main reason they got that pricing in Canada simply of that agreement they signed way back in 1994. Canada I think came out the better deal if I were recall. Now the USD hovering around $1.29 CAD. Does not matter what the current exchange rates between US and Canada. There is no tariffs between these trading partners if the products were manufactured either in Canada or USA or Mexico. Yes Mexico also in the deal too. So suck it up U.S. buyers they got the better deal than us. BTW they paid 15% sales tax on vehicles. GST 7% Plus PST 8% on everything.

I ordered a 15 Lariat SCREW 4x4 with the 2.7 and the 501A package, moonroof, and factory spray in boxliner and am paying just under $52,000. That's with the $4000 delivery allowance (whatever that is) and just over $7300 in "Ford employee pricing" discounts, and taxes included (no provincial sales tax since I'm in Alberta! )

7% sales tax Canada wide, but PST depends on the province. Here in Alberta, no PST for us!
