And of course the service advisors said the seat comfort was normal.

Thanks for the all the feed back....makes me wonder if I have a bad seat?
I'm curious if there may be something going on with the massage feature of your seat, maybe not resetting to default position when they are not on. I don't know that the massage mechanism moves up or not when operation but like daaaaaan has mentioned checking out another Platinum to see if there is a difference.

I road in a KR for about an hour and was in heaven. I was operating the massage feature for about 20 min of that time. I'm not very tall so have to ride up to the steering wheel more than others but my butt was very happy when I got out!

Good luck and hope you can find a solution that doesn't hurt you wallet as well as your butt.

My Platinum seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in in a vehicle I have personally owned, and I am picky (i.e. I hated my 2014 Mercedes ML 350 and especially the cheap ***** seats they put in, but the Lexus 470 seats were very good).

Maybe it is a problem with the air bladder system in yours? My drivers seat is the Cat's meow. Good luck to you.

It really seems like you have a bad seat. I am your same size and what you are describing is exactly how I would describe the discomfort before I deflated the lumbars all the way. I felt like the thigh support was hitting to high on my leg, my back didn't set in against the back of the seat etc... Then I adjusted all the setting to recline a bit more, but the biggest change was when I deflated the lumbar bags. SO if your service guy said they are a "3" when "deflated", that's a huge deal because I felt the seats were uncomfortable when they were at a "1" on my truck. Since these are all new seats for the new '15 I'd for sure sit in another Platinum to feel them, make sure they're deflated and then you can build your case to get yours fixed. Cause honestly my seats are some of the most comfortable I have ever had now, and I'm in the truck for 90 min drives twice a day.

I have a 2015 platinum and love the seats. Much better than the previous 4 F150's I've owned. Turn on the heat and massage and roll!!

Some people suggested this before, do you carry a wallet in your back pocket? That seemed to be an issue for a few folks.

Playing with the settings can be tricky. I took my truck in for service one day, the tech changed the seat settings, it took me a week to get it back to a comfortable position... I notice a difference when I'm wearing a thick vs light jacket, work boots vs fancy shoes... what I'm trying to say is that the slightest change can make the seat feel great or totally uncomfortable! don't give up quite yet

I think my seats are great but I have noticed that once I turn the massage feature off, the lumbar support bags reset to a level they were not at before I turned them on. From looking at the screen, it shows them to be the whole way deflated but as soon as you touch the plus or minus, it shows where they are really at and it's usually 3 or 4 bars inflated. I always have to manually adjust the supports after using the massage feature. Not a big deal to me, but maybe it appears to be deflated but they're not?

I agree that the seats are far different as much less plush than the previous gen. That said I still find them pretty comfortable and good for long drives.

Default Comfortable seats

My previous truck was a 2013 raptor. They have very comfortable ventilated seats. That might be an option. Waiting on the same truck.
