The biggest difference with the Max trailer tow package is the heavier duty axles. They will come with 7 yes 7 studs per wheel instead of 6! If you want aftermarket wheels and you get this package good luck finding wheels. And I've never owned a Ford in my life. Just ordered a 2015 F150. Better be as good as all of my Chevys!!!

Previously that's for the HD Payload package, and I was under the impression that they dropped that for the new 15's and there are no more 7 lug wheels.

I had ordered the trailer tow pkg and the 3.55 axle for my platinum 3.5 Eco boost. After reading on this forum, I just changed to a max trailer tow pkg. cost of trailer tow and 3.55 was 495+420=915. The max trailer tow gives me the 3.55 axle, all the items on the trailer tow package + trailer brake cntl for 795

So can anyone confirm, does the max tow require 7 lug wheels or not on the 2015/2016s?

Thanks

No max tow does not give u 7 lug wheels also there are no 7 lug wheels anymore, the easiest way to know if u have max tow is to look at the hitch 11000 pounds vs 12100 and only available on 3.5 ecoboost

My truck was purchased off the lot for a good deal. It is a 2015 Lariat Screw 4x4, 501A package, 5.5' box, 3.5 ecoboost, with the following options:

3.55 lock axle - $470
twin panel roof - $1,295
voice-activated navi - $795
trailer tow package - $695
tailgate step - $375
20" six spoke wheels - $995
36 gal tank - $395
integrated trailer brake - $275
Lariat Sport pkg - $1,995

What does the max tow package have that mine doesn't? It seems like the same thing although the way mine was ordered is likely more expensive. What am I missing?
