Which, that saves money than doing tow + 3.55.... however, if you get the FX4 package, then its cheaper to upgrade to the 3.5 (from the 3.3 elocker) plus add regular tow).
In the past, you used to get a slight discount for fx4+tow since they both are partially priced based upon gear upgrades... doesn't seem the case this year.
Ford also screws us this year if you want the 3.73 E-locker and the FX4. The FX4 price includes the upgrade to a 3.55 E-locker, but you have to pay the full price for both options if you want the 3.73 E-locker with the FX4.

Anyone with a Window Sticker who ordered the MAX Tow notice an upcharge of $50 for the 3.55? Seems in the two attached examples of an exact build, the Oct build is no charge (Like the BP shows) and the Nov build adds the $50.
Difference between the list of 3.31's @ $420 and 3.55's @ $470 maybe???

The truck comes with a hitch, 7/4 pin wire harness and ability to tow around 6000lbs without the Trailer tow option, am I correct? Lariat+ models.

I think it's up to 5k pounds without a tow package, but yes, you get the class 4 hitch and wiring harness.

To simplify, there are 3 "levels" of tow package and a HD payload package.

1.) Standard-bumper pull or Uhaul style hitch up to 5000 lbs.

2.) Tow package-increases tow capacity based on motor and axle ratio. Available for all motors

3.) Max Tow package-Only available with the 3.5L ecoboost, comes standard with 3.55 ratio and highest tow rating.

4.) Heavy Duty Payload package-Only available with the 156.8 and 163.7 wheelbases, allows for maximum payloads and near maximum towing. Only way to get a 3.73 gear with a 3.5 eco.

But, other than the 3.55 ratio, what's difference between tow and max tow on the 3.5EB?
How do the two options compare in tow ratings? I haven't seen this info...
