That doesn't make sense. There has to be a way to separate them. Ford isn't painting them together

The power gate handle is one unit but the manual isn't

I never said they were painting them together. I was under the impression the handle was painted prior to being installed in the bezel.

You are probably correct...

Please educate me on how to disassemble the handle for painting. I would like to know.

What I was getting at was instead of painting the bucket and pull together, you could just take the pull out of the old assy and put the painted pull into the new housing

Couple problems with that, as I previously stated I don't see how you can remove the handle from the bezel once the handle is installed during assembly at the factory. Perhaps someone with first hand knowledge can advise.

The other issue is I want to take this opportunity to paint the bezel body color - not leaving it black.

I just went through this with my XLT. The handle came from the factory painted Blue Flame, the surround black plastic. I bought a new handle/surround assembly and the handle came primed. Had my body shop paint the whole thing Blue Flame and installed it on my truck. Just need to sell the OEM one that came on my truck.

I'm anxiously awaiting the outcome of your installation. I have the parts sitting in my Tasca shopping cart and I'm waiting to hit "Purchase". I picked up a 2016 XLT this weekend and would love to add this simple feature.

Your 2016 doesn't already have this? Is it equipped with either Trailer Tow Pkg?
