It's a crap-shoot. A lot of it comes down to dealer allocation.
Ordered my retail order on 7/28 - Still no VIN or Schedule Date
Dealer ordered an identical stock order for me on 9/23 - Still no Vin or Schedule Date.

i think its a 5.0L thing...steevr and I both don't have build dates. Although I have a vin #, there hasn't been much movement since. Also, people who ordered 3.5EB are getting their trucks built all at once and let's be honest, they expected that. So i'm sure they have those engines ready before 5.0L

Ford updates production scheduling on Thursday evenings. Check status on Fridays. Nothing is going to change until next Thursday evening. Wasting your time to check multiple times a day.

Well that rules out the 5.0, FX4 or 3.73 holding up mine. Maybe it's the combo of all of them with a 6.5 bed. On the Job 1 video, I did see 6.5 boxes go by, even though most were 5.5's.
Aquapools, I did have a lengthy discussion with them over a week ago. They had no answers. There is no commodity hold on anything I ordered on mine and they said it shows up as clean. If I check the Ford Inventory site for that dealership, I see two as dealer ordered. One was an XLT built on 11/10 and the other according to ETIS is a Lariat scheduled to be built on the week of 11/30. Both are 3.5EB's.
I already spoke with a high volume truck dealer in another state and he said that at this point in the game, I would probably get my truck faster sticking with the retail and stock orders I have than ordering a new one with him.
I've got a $750 private offer in the mail from Ford that expires on 12/22. Something has to happen soon here or I'm going to go insane.
