This.

For anything bad like that, I'd prefer it tear for insurance purposes then steel damaged enough to just be within the threshold of being repairable. I'd rather have all new panels or even that extra nudge towards being totaled than a bunch of mangled steel panels repaired that likely won't ever be quite the same again.

With 600k+ sold to 600k+ people of different mental capacity, this doesn't surprise me at all. The aluminum body is the cutting edge of technology and this picture won't change my opinion of it.

Salesman are such scumbags. Trying to spin this type of tragedy into a Ford sales tactic? Disgusting.

If that truck was hit from behind and landed on the driver side, he'd be dead. Hit from the front, he'd be dead. Same scenario with Chevy, Toyoto, Nissan, Dodge.. likely the same outcome.

The guy was lucky. Don't sell luck as safety.

You don't even have a 2015 nor are you on planning on getting one, so stop TROLLING

I don't even know why you would even bring a %50 story to the table and get the 2015 owners uneasy about their truck, whats your agenda??????

While many people can read some ^^^^^ have a difficult time at comprehension?

My point was, it makes NO difference what body material is, AND different materials react differently to forces applied! But the MOST IMPORTANT thing I mentioned is the new trucks have a 5 STAR SAFETY RATING!

And for your information I'll read and post to whatever dam forum I choose! This is America! If your panties get hot and bothered, too dam bad!

Apologies to all other forum members, but free speech is not to be trampled on.

The picture is not a 15 F150 bed. Look at the rust on the bottom of the bed where the paint is peeled up. A 15 model bed is aluminum, not metal.

Seriously " free speech" that's what you are gonna hide behind after you bring 50% of the story to the table.

I thought aluminum was a metal, and they used rust colored primer on them. Tail light looks like a 2015 4X4 sticker looks like 2015.

Default My 2015

I just bought a new 2015 f150 screw about 6 weeks ago, and I love the truck. I had a 2014 f150 screw that I traded. I do miss my 2014, but the 2015 is a better riding, and more rigid feeling truck that my 2014. I have the 5.0 this time and its a great engine. I also read on the web that GM is coming out with their own aluminum bodys in 2017. I believe the aluminum is going to be great for the trucks of the future, I'm just surprised it took this long.
