I now drive a 2011 CC, F250, 6.7, 6' 8" bed.
1. Less fuel/maint expenses.
2. All the new trinkets.
I will miss the instant electric heat option on my super duty. Heat/defrost in seconds was nice.

1. I've been driving an 02 f250 7.3 with 220K used from day one on a farm. Probably comparable to a 400,000 mile truck the way most people use their trucks. Great truck but it's well-used and not real reliable anymore. I also drive an 06 ranger regular cab. Terrific MPG but pain in the butt to drive on washboard gravel roads and no room for my wife and two kids. I'm most looking forward to having a nice, new, worry-free truck. This will also be my first new truck as the f250 was my dad's ride up until a couple years ago.
2. Better gas mileage. diesel averaging 14 mpg is no fun. Probably leaning towards the 2.7 if the MPG numbers are good enough. Debating if I'll sell the ranger, but probably not. We spend probably about 20 grand a year on fuel on the farm, so it won't make much difference in the big picture, but I just feel better getting better MPGs. I hate spending money on something like fuel.

I am most looking forward to getting 30mpg (when driving it nice)
The package I have ordered will get that . .
Not only that but the extra handling package
sooooo excited . .
Towing 12,200 lbs with a 2.7L ? seems hard to believe but that is the rating,
not sure how that will compare with my current
2002 7.3L Diesel
I did not say that correct. The GCWR is 12,200 lbs

But yes the regular cab short bed 4x2 with a 2.7 & a 3.31 gear along with the
245/70-17 tire will get 30+mpg @ 55 mph cruise
Plans in the works to prove that . . Ideal conditions and running 91 octane or better fuel. Per ford a 10-15hp increase over 87 octane.
The 325hp 375TQ is using 87 octane
Also per ford the gross combined towing weight drops 2% per 1000' in elevation starting at 1000'.

I have a 1990 F150 SuperCab now. The thing I am looking forward to most is having cup holders in the cab. I sure as hell don't need cup holders on the tail gate, but having none in the cab is a real pain in the butt, or more realistically a carpet stained with spilled coffee. The second point would be the 3.5 EB engine if I decide on a Ford for the replacement. Currently have a 5.8 L V8 with a 3.73 rear end, but I really could use the low RPM power the EB has. I mainly use it for towing, and torque at highway speed RPM is an important attribute. That is about it. My 1990 F150 has done a pretty good job of everything else.
What I am not looking forward to is the height of the 4x2 truck. It has become simply silly how high these trucks have become. I can see nothing but disadvantages to it. In this respect my 1990 is much better than the new ones. It makes me think trucks have made a big shift from work tools to toys in the past quarter century.

I don't doubt 30 mpg at 55. My 2012 on flat roads no wind with 3.31 rear, 4x4, and ecoboost does 25-27 at 55mph. Weight reduction in the 15s should help and if the 2.7 lives up t to the hype it shouldn't be hard to do. But real world highway won't exceed 22 for most users I bet.
